On Saturday, May 18th, L’Orma International had the opportunity to participate to “Exponiamoci!” in Rome, an event designed to connect job seekers, trainees, and aspiring entrepreneurs with migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeker backgrounds to valuable resources and opportunities. The fair, hosted at the Monk, was a collaborative effort between Refugees Welcome and the VOC project by INTERSOS-UNHCR.
The day began at 10:00 AM with a warm welcome breakfast, where attendees gathered and listened to a brief presentation introducing the fair and the twelve participating organizations. By 10:30 AM, the fair was in full swing.
The event was more than just an informational fair; it was a vibrant networking hub. Beneficiaries had the chance to move freely among the different stations, establishing connections and sharing experiences. This facilitated an enriching exchange of ideas and opportunities, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Indeed, “Exponiamoci!” was an excellent example of how structured, well-organized events can significantly impact community building and resource sharing. The fair highlighted the importance of creating spaces where individuals from diverse backgrounds can come together, learn, and grow. L’Orma International’s involvement underscored our commitment to supporting and empowering migrant communities through education and entrepreneurial opportunities.
By participating in events like “Exponiamoci!”, we continue to build bridges and create pathways for personal and professional development, reaffirming our mission to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
