There is a broad consensus concerning the consequences that the absence of practice of physical activity or sport can bring to human health. Therefore, recent studies point to a sedentary lifestyle as a factor that accompanies the appearance and severity of a significant number of chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity, among others. And despite being aware of this, many of us have joined a thousand gyms, bought the latest fitness clothing to motivate ourselves, or have tried running, yoga or crossfit without being able to settle a stable routine in time. Could this have a scientific explanation? Did you ever ask yourself or the others the reasons to not practice or maintain a sports routine?
The most common responses are often showing how the lack of motivation, time or self-confidence, or the absence of accurate and accessible sports facilities have a specific role in such decisions, added to other less obvious factors such as gender, age, and socio-economic background, but we are convinced that there is much more information to come out. In this framework, we are proud to announce the launching of a survey to better understand people’s participation in physical activity. The collected data will be analyzed as accurately and effectively as possible by the Multicultural community challenge management team to provide a new approach on meeting people’s needs concerning sport participation. And then, we will be ready to plan the next project steps, such as the design of new training activities to promote physical activity in our daily lives.
But for this to happen, we need your help, so we kindly ask you to dedicate 5 minutes of your time to fill in the survey https://multisportcommunityexperience.eu/
