L’ORMA is excited to share the latest updates from SheCOACH, the Erasmus+ project dedicated to promoting gender equality in coaching education. As we pass the halfway point of the project’s implementation, we reflect on the achievements so far and look ahead to the next crucial steps.

Mid-Term Highlights: Communication and Impact:

The SheCOACH project has successfully engaged a growing community of sports professionals, federations, and individuals committed to inclusive coaching. Thanks to strong communication efforts led by the consortium—including L’ORMA’s active contribution—the project has achieved:

  • 3,844 visits to SheCOACH social media pages

The majority of our audience are women aged 25-44, primarily from Greece, Cyprus, Italy, and Spain, confirming the project’s local impact and relevance.

Work in Progress: The SheCOACH Framework:

One of the project’s main outputs is under development: the Framework for Gender Mainstreaming in Coaching Education. L’ORMA is contributing to the creation of this practical guide, designed to help coaching education providers assess and improve the gender dimension of their programmes.

The Framework will include:

  • Tools for evaluating gender balance in curricula
  • Recommendations for integrating gender equality into teaching practices
  • Strategies to increase visibility of women’s leadership in sport

The piloting phase will begin soon in Greece, Cyprus, Italy, and Spain, with L’ORMA coordinating local activities in Italy.

Upcoming September Workshops:

To support the Framework’s piloting, national workshops will be held in September 2025. These events will bring together:

  • Coaching education providers
  • Sports federations and clubs
  • Gender equality advocates and stakeholders

Participants will have the chance to review the Framework, provide feedback, and contribute to creating more inclusive coaching education systems.

Stay tuned for details about the Italian workshop, organized by L’ORMA!
