As tradition now has it, when the annual Erasmus+ Info Day arrives in Brussels, so does the much-anticipated NetWalking event on the day before. Yesterday, the fourth edition of this energizing initiative brought together more than 20 professionals at the iconic Parc du Cinquantenaire, setting the tone for a week of European collaboration, exchange, and inspiration.
What started as a complementary activity to the active Info Day has steadily grown into a valued moment for participants to meet, reconnect, and start the conversation before the conference even begins. NetWalking offers a simple yet refreshing alternative to conventional networking formats, inviting professionals to step outside, breathe, move, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
For a full hour, attendees walked through the park’s tree-lined paths, sharing ideas, experiences, and expectations for the Erasmus+ year ahead. The combination of light physical activity, fresh air, and open conversation created a relaxed yet stimulating environment, one that encouraged authentic interaction and sparked new connections.
This year once again proved a core belief of our initiative: “When we walk side by side, conversations flow more naturally.”
Freed from the meeting rooms and name badges, participants found exchanges unfolding with ease, allowing them to connect not only as professionals, but as people.
The session left many feeling energized, inspired, and better connected as they headed into the Info Day. Beyond networking, the event also served as an opportunity to reset mentally, enjoy the outdoors, and start the week with renewed motivation.
We want to send a warm thank-you to everyone who joined and contributed to the friendly, dynamic spirit of this fourth edition. With enthusiasm growing year after year, the NetWalking event is becoming a cherished pre-Info Day tradition, one that sets the tone for collaboration, curiosity, and shared purpose.
Here’s to many more steps and many more connections, together! 👣💬
