We shared our experience and exchanged ideas about the implementation of the program.[/mk_fancy_title][vc_single_image image=”1387″ img_size=”full”][mk_fancy_title color=”#1b1b1b” size=”21″ force_font_size=”true” size_smallscreen=”21″ size_tablet=”18″ size_phone=”18″ font_weight=”400″ font_family=”Ubuntu” font_type=”google” responsive_align=”left” el_class=”testonero”]This succesful project was launched by a Danish Volunteer Organization called Fit For Kids in order to fight childhood obesity and increase the wellbeing of children and the overall health of the family. The program was designed with care, it is research based, scientificaly tested and has proved to be effective. The FitForKids Program has a positive effect on children, they tend to become more active, have more energy, are more motivated to have a healthier lifestyle, their social and self-esteem also develop.

L’Orma has been part of this project and we are very proud to say that many children participate in our training sessions held twice a week.[/mk_fancy_title][vc_single_image image=”1389″ img_size=”full”][mk_fancy_title color=”#1b1b1b” size=”21″ force_font_size=”true” size_smallscreen=”21″ size_tablet=”18″ size_phone=”18″ font_weight=”400″ font_family=”Ubuntu” font_type=”google” responsive_align=”left” el_class=”testonero”]The project is implemented in three countries, in Denmark, Portugal and Italy.
The partner organizations are:

  • FitforKidsDenmark (Denmark) was founded in 2007, is the inventor of the FitForKids program which has been delivered in all of the biggest Danish Municipalities.
  • Casa da Juventude de Amarante (Portugal) is a non-profit association founded in 1993 and its main objective is to promote a healthy way of life among the population especially Youth.
  • To – Centro Servizi Volontariato (Torino, Italy) is a member of CSV net. It is accredited as organization for National Volunteering Service and it aims to enforce the skills of people involved in Volunteering using formal and non formal education.
  • L’Orma (Milan, Italy) is a non-profit educational agency that has been developing and offering sportive / expressive training experiences based on non-formal education since 2000.

The next meeting will be held between 30 September and 4 October, 2019 also in Amarante to train 25 volunteers who can help to carry on this project and continue the work of fighting childhood obesity.
