EU Open Call for Proposals: Pilot Projects Promoting Sport
The Application for Upcoming Proposals is Open! Find Out About What the Projects Are About and What the EU is Seeking
The European Commission launched not too long ago a new set of funding opportunities for project proposals related to the use of sports as a means to achieve some of the current European Union’s key objectives. Here the L’Orma team explains you what each of these three calls for proposals are about, what the EU is looking for, the deadlines, and how we can collaborate.
The first call of proposals is focused on exchanges and mobility in sport. The deadline is set for 11/7/2019 and the objective is to use sport to bring people together at international, national, regional and local levels, cooperating on an international level among sport organizations by supporting the learning mobility of their staffs. In this way, we can facilitate the exchanges of people, ideas and good practices that will bring benefits to all those involved, from the world of sports to the rest of societies.
The second call is about monitoring and coaching through sports of youngsters at risk of radicalization. We seek to use sport to better integrate at-risk populations and spread the values of tolerance, integration and intercultural dialogue. In this case, the deadline is on the 23/07/2019; the EU wants to support sport-related projects organized by sport organizations, such as L’Orma, and using their experience in sport and physical activity to promote better integration.
Finally, the last Pilot Project, whose deadline is on the 04/07/2019 aims at using sport as a tool for integration and social inclusion of refugees. Similarly, the EU seeks to provide opportunities and support to sport projects focused on the social inclusion of refugees in host communities, through local or within the EU innovative sports projects facilitating the refugee’s integration into new communities, as it is one of the more urgent needs across the EU member states.
L’Orma has a long history of experience in numerous projects approved by the EU, both as project coordinator and partner organization. Our expertise is our biggest asset, and we can guide you as partners and collaborate in future projects to help realize these goals. We have submitted and successfully completed several projects revolving around the use of sport as a powerful tool to achieve integration, exchange of best practices across the EU, and connecting with different partners from different countries to meet each other’s needs and help each other. We have experience in all three areas mentioned above, and we look forward to expanding our network and building on the work we have done so far.
