La scorsa settimana, la delegazione italiana di L’Orma si è recata nuovamente ad Amarante, Portogallo, per continuare lo sviluppo del progetto Fit For Kids in Portogallo . Questo programma, sviluppato quasi 10 anni fa in Danimarca, mira a combattere l’obesità infantile e ad aumentare il benessere generale dei bambini e delle loro famiglie. Tre anni fa, è stato lanciato con successo da L’Orma sia a Torino che a Milano con l’aiuto di To – Centro Servizi Volontariato, e ora siamo entusiasti di vedere il progetto espandersi fino a comprendere anche il Portogallo.
Le tre squadre (Danimarca, Italia e Portogallo), composte dai presidenti di ciascuna organizzazione e dai volontari di Fit For Kids, si sono riunite per un programma di formazione di due giorni per i volontari portoghesi. L’obiettivo degli incontri non era solo quello di organizzare corsi di formazione formale, ma anche di avere un clima aperto e accogliente in cui i volontari potessero scambiare le migliori pratiche. Infatti, tutte e tre le organizzazioni si trovano in diverse fasi di implementazione del progetto Fit For Kids e incontrano vari contesti culturali, quindi avere volontari che condividono le loro esperienze tra loro è stata una preziosa opportunità per tutti.
Abbiamo iniziato il corso di formazione spiegando l’aspetto nutrizionale del programma al nuovo volontario portoghese. In questa parte di Fit For Kids, i volontari alla fine daranno consigli nutrizionali ai bambini e alle loro famiglie in un modo che motiva e coinvolge i bambini. Questo mira a stimolarli a seguire uno stile di vita più sano.
La seconda giornata è stata dedicata ai principi educativi del programma, seguita da un’attività di team building che ha coinvolto tutti i volontari. Nel pomeriggio ci siamo diretti in palestra, per mostrare il secondo pilastro di Fit For Kids: il programma di attività fisiche.
Tutto questo si è svolto nella bellissima città di Amarante, gustando la cucina tradizionale portoghese. [/ Vc_column_text]
