SheCOACH Unveils Key Recommendations for Gender Mainstreaming in Coaching Education

In October 2024, the project partners of the SheCOACH project released a comprehensive set of recommendations aimed at integrating gender equality into coaching education and qualifications. Based on extensive research conducted in Cyprus, Greece, Italy, and Spain, the recommendations address critical areas such as unconscious bias, lack of female role models, and the need for inclusive coaching practices.

L’ORMA played a significant role in shaping these recommendations, particularly in developing strategies to promote inclusive language and communication within coaching environments. Our contributions are part of the SheCOACH Capacity Building Programme, which will be delivered through a dedicated e-learning platform featuring four specialized courses:

  • Legislation on Gender Equality in Sport
  • Women in Leadership Positions in Sport
  • The Power of Inclusive Language in Sports Environments
  • Gender-Based Discrimination and Sexual Harassment in Sport

In addition to these developments, the partners are organizing Info Days across Cyprus, Greece, Italy, and Spain to engage stakeholders and disseminate the project’s findings and resources. L’ORMA will host the Italian Info Day, providing an opportunity for coaches, educators, and sports professionals to learn more about the project and its initiatives.

Join us in our efforts to foster a more inclusive and equitable sports coaching landscape!
