We are excited to announce that the SheCOACH e-learning platform has entered its piloting phase, with selected participants from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, and Spain testing the platform from March to April 2025. This innovative platform offers four comprehensive courses designed to enhance gender equality in sports coaching:

  1. Legislation on Gender Equality in Sport: Exploring the legal frameworks and policies promoting gender equality in sports.
  2. Women in Leadership Positions in Sport: Addressing the challenges and strategies for increasing women’s representation in sports leadership roles.
  3. The Power of Inclusive Language in Sports Environments: Developed by L’ORMA and the Cyprus Basketball Federation, this course emphasizes the importance of inclusive communication in fostering respectful and empowering sports environments.
  4. Gender-Based Discrimination and Sexual Harassment in Sport: Providing tools and knowledge to identify, prevent, and address discrimination and harassment in sports settings.

Feedback from the pilot phase will be instrumental in refining the courses to ensure they effectively meet the needs of coaching education providers, sports federations, and aspiring coaches across Europe.

Additionally, the SheCOACH consortium gathered in Murcia, Spain, in January 2025 to review the project’s progress and plan the next steps. The meeting also marked the launch of “Perspectives & Voices,” a new section on the SheCOACH website featuring interviews with inspiring female coaches, including Italy’s Cinzia Zanotti.

Stay engaged with SheCOACH as we continue to promote gender equality in sports coaching!
