DESCRIPTION

LearningArena – Transforming Stadiums into Educational Hubs for Youth Empowerment and Social Inclusion is an innovative project that harnesses the educational potential of sports and stadium environments to foster youth engagement, social inclusion, and civic responsibility in Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro. By recognising stadiums as vibrant social spaces that bring together diverse communities, the project transforms them into dynamic learning environments where young people can develop key competencies related to cultural identity, fair play, equality, and digital literacy.

The project introduces three educational pathways: “Sport in My Region, My Country, My Europe”, which strengthens the sense of belonging and European identity; “Fair Play – Inclusion and Equal Opportunities”, which promotes teamwork, anti-discrimination, and respect for diversity; and “PressRoom – Dealing with Social Media”, which equips young people with media literacy skills to navigate digital spaces safely and responsibly. Through interactive workshops, experiential learning, and role-playing activities, LearningArena seeks to address the lack of structured non-formal education opportunities within sports organisations in the Western Balkans and create more inclusive, educational, and youth-friendly sporting environments.
