From local action to European visibility — become part of the #BeActiveWinter campaign
Winter is coming… and with it, an exciting opportunity to put your community on the European map of active living. The European Week of Winter Sport (EWWS) 2026 is just around the corner, and preparations are already underway. To help schools, sports clubs, municipalities, and associations get involved, the EWWS Coordination Team is hosting an international webinar on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, from 10:00 to 11:30 CET on Zoom.
This online session is your gateway to becoming part of a growing European movement that celebrates sport, sustainability, and inclusion throughout the winter season. Whether you’re planning a ski day, a skating festival, a snowshoe walk, or an indoor winter fitness event, EWWS offers the platform, tools, and visibility to bring your local initiative to life.
During the webinar, participants will learn how to organize and officially register their own local EWWS 2026 event, gaining access to a wealth of resources including the EWWS Toolkit, communication materials, and promotional support through the #BeActiveWinter campaign. The session will also introduce the Photo & Video Contests and the Best Sustainable Practice Award, offering creative ways for local organizers to gain recognition at the European level.
The event will feature insights and practical tips from European partners who made the 2025 edition a success. Speakers include representatives from L’ORMA (Italy), EUSA (Slovenia), EPSI (Belgium), DES (Spain), BSDA (Bulgaria), the Kilian Jornet Foundation (Spain), NGO Nest Berlin (Germany), LUNEX University (Luxembourg), and Ski Club Rijeka (Croatia). Their stories and advice will inspire participants to create impactful, inclusive, and sustainable winter sport activities in their own communities.
By the end of the webinar, attendees will have all the tools needed to register their event, access the EWWS materials, and join a vibrant European network of winter sport promoters committed to making Europe move — even when the temperatures drop.
